Teaser Tuesday!

This is a weekly meme hosted by MizB at Should be Reading. I love this idea! It's simple:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share 2 lines (teaser sentences) from somewhere on that page
  • Be careful not to include spoilers... you don't want to ruin the book for others!
  • Share the title and author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR list if they like your teasers ;-)

This week's teaser:

Mannie woke the next morning uncertain if he had dreamed. Outside it was still pitch dark, but the habit of getting up early for work or war didn't change even if the world had.

Looking forward to hearing about the books you're into :-) Happy reading today!

  2. I hate waking up and feeling disoriented (usually after a bad dream). Luckily, that doesn't happen often. I'd like to learn more about this character.
My Teaser is from THE CALICO HEART.

  3. Had an OMG moment when I found your teaser. It's absolutely thrilling when someone I don't know is reading my book! Thanks.
    Here's mine:
"A hamartia?" he asked, the cigarette still in his mouth. It tightened his jaw. He had a hell of a jawline, unfortunately.
From p. 20 John Green's Fault in Our Stars.
